DVD Series – Mondays at 10:30 a.m. New great courses series begins Oct. 17 – “The World’s Greatest Geological Wonders.” Tour the most amazing natural wonders. Each session includes three 30-minute lectures. No need to sign up.
Beginner Bridge Series begins Tues., Oct. 4 at 10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. For the true beginner, rusty player or anyone wanting to learn modern bidding. Instructor: Rick Hartley. $5 per class pus $15 book. Minimum seven classes in series.
Nutrition Series, Tues., Oct. 11, at 12:45 p.m. “Pumpkins!” Jenn Luster, registered dietician from Chatham ShopRite, will talk about the health benefits of pumpkins and provide recipes. Always a tasting! No sign-up.
Social Dancing, Tues., 1 p.m. – 3 p.m., includes instruction and practice. $30 for six-week session or $7 per class. Introductory first class is free of charge. Instructors Frank Pagano and Ramona Rademacher will lead participants with or without a partner in “ballroom” dances. All levels.

Mini-Trip To Great Swamp National Wildlife Refuge, Fri., Oct. 21, 9:30 a.m.- noon. Visit includes presentation about the mission of the National Wildlife Refuge, history of the Great Swamp, short film and walk. Transportation provided by the Senior bus. $2 per peson. Sign up by Mon., Oct. 17.
Nonfiction Book Group, Fri., Oct. 28, at 11 a.m. “American Heiress” by Jeffrey Toobin.
Special Program “Thomas Nast’s Historical Icons,” Fri., Oct. 28 at 12:30 p.m. Macculloch Hall Historical Museum curator, Ryan Hyman, will present a program that highlights both the most popular and lesser known images made by the 19th century political cartoonist. Topics include Civil War, Boss Tweed, Santa Claus, Republican Elephant and Democratic Donkey. Program preceded by light luncheon beginning at noon. Deadline to sign up for lunch is Mon. Oct. 24.
