On Tues., Sept. 13, Our Lady’s Blue Army Shrine plans to celebrate the Apparitions of Our Lady of Fatima at the World Apostolate of Fatima USA, in Washington, in the Diocese of Metuchen.
Appearing on a holmoak tree in 1917, she requested three shepherd children to continue to pray the Rosary in order to obtain peace and the end of the war. Visit the Holy House USA, containing crushed stone from the Holy House of Loreto; the actual baldacchino and altar over which the last great apparition of Fatima took place; and the largest extant piece of the tree upon which Our Lady stood at Fatima.
Confessions start at 10:30 a.m.; noon Rosary Procession; 12:30 p.m., guest speaker Rev. Frederick Miller; Holy Mass 1 p.m. Main Celebrant – Most Rev. Frank Caggiano, Diocese of Bridgeport, Ct. Celebration ends with the Divine Mercy Chaplet at 3 p.m. For more information go to www.bluearmy.com.
