Students Learn About Careers And Safety

On the evening of May 11, students from the Hopatcong Elementary Schools gathered together at Hudson Maxim School to learn about community careers and safety.  The event began with students rotating through fun-filled stations presented by local safety experts including members of the Hopatcong Police Department, Hopatcong Ambulance Squad, Hopatcong Fire Department; Angie Meyer-Pflug, Tulsa Trail School Nurse; and Danielle Kovach, Tulsa Trail Teacher and creator of Super Heroes of Safety.

The students went home with a goodie bag filled with health and safety items including glow sticks, toothbrushes, safety booklets and much more!  The evening’s events were made possible thanks to Lisa Schuffenhauer’s Pride Grant provided by the Hopatcong Education Association.
