Support Group For Depression And Bipolar Disorders Offers Free Lecture Series

Morristown’s DBSA (Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance) support group is schedule to host an opportunity for learning and growth 7 p.m., Wed, June 29.

Dr., Bruce Friedman, plans to present, “Focus on Adults: Differentiation of Bipolar and ADHD.” The presentation will include information about symptoms, medication interventions, treatments and anxiety issues. Earlier presentation will also be discussed. The “Ask the Doctor” session will follow Friedman’s presentation.

Additionally, the DBSA plans to hold a lecture called, “The Struggles and Successes of Living with Mood Disorders” 7:30 p.m., Wed, July 27 at Morristown Unitarian Fellowship. This session will include a panel of people living with mood disorders. Panelists will explain their struggles and their successes: what it was like, how it got better and what it is like now. Peer support and the young adult groups also meet every Tues., from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.

DBSA meetings are free. Suggested donations for nonmembers for lectures are $4 each or $7 per family, which cover various literature, mailing and rent costs for the groups.
