The Mendham Township and Borough Jewish Communities Come Together for a Menorah Lighting Ceremony Celebrating the start of Hanukkah

A group of Jewish families in the Mendham Boro and Township came together and raised funds to purchase a 9’ electric menorah for the town. At sundown (4:34 p.m.) on Sunday Dec. 22, the first night of Hanukkah, a public candle lighting ceremony will take place at Mendham Borough Park!  Families in Mendham will join together for the lighting ceremony, and to usher in Hanukkah, the Festival of Lights. Families are encouraged to celebrate at the menorah with donuts, hot cocoa, togetherness, prayer and celebration. This will be the first ever First Night Menorah Lighting ceremony in Mendham celebrating the start of Hanukkah. The event is free and open to the public.
