The Pequannock Township Public Library Presents its FREE Learning Lecture Series for Adults!

As an adult, do you miss going to school and learning new things? The Pequannock Library has a solution for you—it’s our newly designed Learning Lecture Series. It’s like adult school, but without the fee. Attend one or two or all of the lectures offered.

Thursday, March 14 at 7:00 p.m.

Dismantling the Racism Machine Dr. Karen Gaffney of Somerville, Professor of English at Raritan Valley Community College will discuss how the public understands and doesn’t understand race and racism. These concepts come from her book, Dismantling the Racism Machine: A Manual and Toolbox.

Life is Nasty, Brutish, and Short Dr. Meghan Robison specializes in early modern philosophy and political philosophy. She will discuss Hobbes’ state of nature and “the life of man as solitary, poor, nasty, brutish, and short.
