The Thursday Morning Club of Madison plans to present its first lecture of the Wise Wonderful Women Lecture Series this season. Janet E. Kelly, a vice-president for Pershing, a BNY Mellon Company, will be featured presenting “Women Are NOT a Niche Market” on Thur., Oct. 20, from 6:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m. Heavy hors d’oeuvres will be served during the program.
Kelly’s lecture will focus on the importance of women in today’s financial and economic world. Serving women were once considered a “boutique business” whereas today they yield unprecedented clout. Nearly two-thirds of the female U.S. professional work force out-earn their spouses but many sales professionals still overlook their influence by continually speaking to them primarily through their partners or husbands. By recognizing their economic prowess and influence, women can ensure better communication and more effective service from the marketplace. “Women Are NOT a Niche Marker” will offer insights into the power and influence of women and strategies that women can put to work in their lives.
Reservations are required. For more information, go to https://www.tmcmch.org. The Thursday Morning Club is a member of the New Jersey State and General Federation of Women’s Clubs.
