Trinity Church in Hackettstown has announced that they will again undertake the ministry of feeding 5,000 people in one day called Caravan of Hope II. The distribution of 5,000 meals will take place on September 14 th . Boxed meals will be taken to food pantries, soup kitchens and other food programs for distribution to persons in need.
Last September the church distributed 5,532 meals in its first Caravan of Hope. The boxed meals were made at the church and caravans of cars delivered the meals locally, as well as to food programs as far as 50 miles away.
Dr Frank Fowler, Senior Pastor of Trinity commented, “Our church leadership team enthusiastically decided to again share our abundance with others, and in the spirit of Jesus, to feed 5,000 people in one day. Our leadership team is in place and we invite members of the community to join with us in this important outreach, knowing that many people in our region are food insecure.”
