Tulsa Trail Science Fair Draws A Crowd

Second and third grade students at the Tulsa Trail Elementary School in Hopatcong exhibited excellence in scientific inquiry at the school’s 15th Annual Science Expo on May 24.
More than 250 students demonstrated their love for science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics. Through an investigation using the scientific method, students conducted experiments at home with their families and presented their findings to classmates during the day.
After school, all projects were put on display for families, teachers and community members.
The Expo had an attendance of more than165 families with a total of approximately 500 visitors.
Funded by the Hopatcong Education Association through a Project PRIDE Grant, all students who completed a project received a medal and certificate. Project PRIDE, sponsored by the New Jersey Education Association, began in 1994. The goal is to share the success of New
Jersey’s public schools and build community support and involvement.
