Cookie Cutters Haircuts for Kids – a child-focused salon with whimsical decorations, fantasy chairs that range from race cars to airplanes, televisions for children to watch as they get a haircut and an indoor play area to let them climb and get their jitters out—is set to continue growing their foot print with a new store that opened in Livingston.
Located at 277 Eisenhower Parkway in Livingston, the new salon opened in April. It will be first of three salons that will be owned by husband and wife team Arvind and Neetu Bhandari. Neetu, will be the head of daily operations and run the salon. Arvind and Neetu reside in Livingston.
“I used to style my son’s hair until he was 9 years old, and while it was fun, there were times when I was need of a stylist that specialized on working with children” expressed Neetu. “Haircuts should be a fun experience for every child, and a stress-free trip for parents. Cookie Cutters is the perfect salon that appeals to every child’s desire of play while getting a difficult task accomplished. Our salon will take the hassle out of haircuts, and make it a wonderful experience for everyone.”
Prior to Cookie Cutters, Neetu spent a decade in the fashion industry working in different roles from freelancing, retail, and production management over the years. Her husband, Arvind, has worked within the pharmaceutical industry for over 20 years and is the proud founder and CEO of Adira Medica LLC. Together, the couple both come from families with a strong business acumen that has inspired them to become their own independent business owners.

Come time for the haircut, each station on the cutting floor is outfitted with unique fantasy chairs – from race cars to firetrucks and airplanes – as well as individual televisions for the kids to watch shows and movies. With a balloon, lollipop and a smile at the end of each haircut, the Cookie Cutters experience is designed to keep children coming back again and again. First ever haircuts for toddlers receive a special commemorative package with photo and hair clipping.
