Upcoming Events At Mendham Borough Library

There are many upcoming events at the library this month for both adults and children.

Every Wed. from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. in the month of Feb. “Device Advice” is scheduled to be offered at the library, for free help with devices such as smartphones and tablets. Bring a device to the class.

A Family Movie Night is planned for Wed., Feb. 17, starting at 6 p.m. The movie will be “Goosebumps.” Parents must accompany children. Snacks and beverages will be provided.

“Elder Care: Help in making the right choices,” is scheduled for Thurs., Feb. 25, at 7 p.m. This program is set to include expert speakers, Attorney Richard P. Diegnan Jr.; Andi Batistoni Social Case Worker for Morris County Adult Protective Services; and Ophelia Cruse, director of the Division of Aging. Topics will be discussed include what important paperwork should be in place as well as what services are available for the elderly. Call the library to register or visit the website.

A “Magic and Mayhem” late night event is set for Fri., Feb. 26, at 7 p.m., being offered to students in grades three to eight. Magician, Mark Zacharia will be present to teach his “Magic of the Minds” workshop. This event is sponsored by the Mendham Municipal Alliance.   Space for event is limited, call the library to register.

The Lego Youth Services Club is set to meet on Sat., Feb. 20, at noon.

Adult Services groups are scheduled to continue their meetings with Bridge club set for Wednesdays at 10 a.m., Canasta club scheduled for Thursdays at 10 a.m. and the Morning Book Group set for Fri., Feb 26, at 10 a.m.

Also, the library Museum Pass Program has been expanded. With a library card, members are eligible to receive free museum passes, now including The Guggenheim Museum on Fifth Ave. in New York City and Imagine That! in Florham Park. The passes continue to include entrance into the Intrepid Air and Space Museum near the New York waterfront. Passes can be reserved up to three months in advance for Mendham Borough residents with a current Mendham Borough library card. Call the library for more information or to reserve passes.
