This family-friendly holiday street fair will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. along Main Street in Succasunna by the Roxbury Public Library.
New this year is a contest for the most festive holiday-decorated/themed vendor booth. The winner gets a free booth at next year’s event!
Stockton Carriage Tours will be there again, offering families free carriage rides with jingle-belled horses – sponsored by the Roxbury Chamber of Commerce and the Roxbury Rotary Club.
Also new this year and an indication of the growing popularity of this fun family festival: Santa Land is being extended by an hour. It will run from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. inside the Roxbury Public Library, where families can meet Santa, get photographed with him, do fun crafts and hear holiday book readings.
Musical entertainment, including a jazz band playing inside the Presbyterian Church, brass ensemble and strolling carolers from the high school honors choir, will add to the festivities.
The Wick-Hegarty School of Irish Dance will be there with talented dancers jigging in the street.
No one will go hungry at Home for the Holidays either. Food trucks will be parked at the Methodist Church. Both churches will also offer lots of homemade treats and hot drinks to snack while shopping for holiday gifts.
