In its seventh year, Oktoberfest is set to be celebrated at Our Lady of the Lake School and Parish in Verona on Sat., Oct. 8, from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. Plans are underway to make this the biggest and best Oktoberfest celebration yet!
First held Sat., Oct. 16, 2010, Our Lady of the Lake School and Parish sponsored one of the biggest events in the Township of Verona. A German UmPah Band was featured, as well as a feast on traditional German fare, a variety of ales from local brewers, dancing and raffle prizes.
The proceeds that benefited the youth and children of the parish as well as numerous important ministries. The school has traveled to Kentucky to help build homes for poverty-stricken citizens, New Orleans to help victims of Hurricane Katrina and the Jersey Shore to help after Hurricane Sandy.
For the 2016 event, purchase individual tickets to Oktoberfest for $65 from now through Oct. 2. Tickets the night of the event – if any remain – will be $75. There are a limited number of reserved tables available for $650 to seat 10.
