“I came upon this building 14 years ago when I designed our custom kitchen with John VanDerStad, owner of Allen Cabinets. The shop was originally here as their kitchen showroom and the architectural interest and attention to detail of its interior immediately left an impression upon me.”
Fast forward 14 years.
“When we found out the building was no longer needed to be used as their showroom, our family decided this would be the best location for our new shop,” says LoVerde.
And just like that, Accentuate with LoVe was born.
Located at 60 Newark-Pompton Turnpike in Pequannock, the beautiful homey environment is one that LoVerde still can’t believe her family owns. While the first floor serves as a shop, it’s upstairs that the magic truly happens.
“Upstairs we have a conference area where I meet with clients to design custom furniture & window treatments. We offer consulting for kitchen and bathroom renovations and are involved in several new construction projects. We work closely with our clients and truly have a passion to create spaces that make you automatically feel relaxed and welcomed,” LoVerde says.
LoVerde, who has called the shop on Newark-Pompton home for a little over a year, knows that the process to interior design can be an intimidating one. However, with her laid-back attitude, she promises to make the process as simple and streamlined as possible.
“Our casual approach makes the process less intimidating and we try to even have a little fun along the way,” LoVerde says.
Her passion and talent for the art of interior design come through not only in her interior design business, but her gift shop as well.
“I have been an interior designer for 14 years and have always wanted a gift shop. We are fortunate enough to have this beautiful space to sell decorative accessories, pillows, blankets as well as hostess gifts, birthday, baby and wedding gifts. We are here to help design a home with love and help facilitate kindness through gift giving,” LoVerde shares.
A true family affair, Accentuate with LoVe is filled with exactly that; love.
“My husband, Joe and I have raised our 3 children in our home of 21 years in nearby Wayne and are thrilled to be welcomed and supported by the local surrounding towns! We are truly thankful to be a part of such a great community.”
And local artists? They have a place at Accentuate with LoVe too.
“We are big supporters of local artisans and would be happy to share your talents with the community and consign goods that we feel work with our assortment. Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or pop in and learn more about us.”
