Adult Programs At Library
The following adult programs are scheduled for August.
WTPL Knits, Tues., Aug. 18, at 1 p.m., at the Washington Twp. Public Library in Long Valley.
Root Collar Excavation Demonstration, Tuesday, Aug. 18, at 7 p.m. A real-time demonstration on how to re-mediate a tree that has been planted too deeply. How to expose girdling or circling roots, and prune them. Learn how to save trees on a property. Demonstration will be done by Steve Zaikowski of the Shade Tree Committee.
Friends of the Library Movie, Wed., Aug.19, at 6:30 p.m. A look at the relationship between the famous physicist Stephen Hawking and his wife.
Lunch n Learn- Mon., Aug. 24, at noon. “Eating Well As You Age” presented by Dr. Jeff Culbert, Schooley’s Mtn. Chiropractic. For adults older than 50, the benefits of healthy eating include increased mental acuteness, resistance to illness and disease, higher energy levels, faster recuperation times, and better management of chronic health problems. Come hear how better dietary choices can help. Live longer and be stronger, sharpen the mind; feel better overall! Lunch is $2. Sponsored by the Senior Resource Center in Chester.
