Best Turkey Trot Yet Held In Chatham

Nearly 950 participants came out to the eighth annual Chatham Turkey Trot held on Thanksgiving, Thur., Nov. 24, in the Highlands section of Chatham Twp.

More than $27,500 was raised making this trot the town’s most successful race ever, according to Mayor Curt Ritter. Since its inception in 2009, “we have raised more than $100,000 benefiting the Chatham Township Volunteer Fire Department, the Diabetes Research Institute, the Chatham Emergency Squad and The Barton Center for Diabetes Education,” he says.

“We thank our many sponsors and residents for supporting this event which brings our community together to give thanks and kick-off the holiday season,” says Ritter.
