Caldwell U Features Art Therapy Shows

The Spring 2018 Art Therapy Student Exhibition showcases the work of three Caldwell University graduate students from the Mental Health Counseling with Art Therapy Specialization program: Chelsea Darling, Jen Albright and Samantha Castellano.
When traversing this exhibition, the viewer will find an array of styles, techniques, and mediums displayed that are unique to the artists.
The “Side-By-Side: Art Therapy Alumni Art Exhibition” highlights the work of two alumni art therapy graduate students, Susan Ridley, ’17, and Rhonda Mathis, ‘10. While exploring Side-By-Side, the viewer will observe artwork created from different perspectives that tells two separate stories. Mathis presents drawn and painted images that explore themes of trauma and intense, raw emotion. Ridley conjures soothing textural rhythms with her woven mandalas that promote balance and harmony. The viewer may look from one wall to the other to witness the compelling juxtaposition created by the diverse artwork. The works are on view on the third floor of Werner Hall through April 2.
