Centenary Softball To Host Tricky Tray Fundraiser

Centenary University’s Women’s Softball team will host its Annual Tricky Tray on Saturday, Nov. 11. The doors will open at 6:30 p.m. in the John M. Reeves Student Recreation Center in Hackettstown. There will be a $10 admission fee that will include one sheet ticket and one special ticket. This event is open to the public.

The drawings will begin at 7:30 with over 150 trays and prizes. Some prizes include a 40-inch television, restaurant dining for a year, a garden trellis and a family pack to Tomahawk Lake.  All must pay the entrance fee unless they have purchased the $25 pre-sale package. This package is worth up to $60 and is only available until Nov. 7.  All money and proceeds will help raise funds for The Centenary Women’s Softball team to travel and play internationally.

“Centenary’s Women’s Softball team has been hosting the Tricky Tray for more than a decade,” says Kim Broking, assistant athletic director and head softball coach at Centenary University. “The event has become a fundamental opportunity for the local community to support our athletes and to win prizes that have been donated by our local restaurants and vendors.  We typically get over 200 participants and the turnout continues to grow each year. The Tricky Tray really underscores how Centenary student-athletes embrace and understand the importance of community relations. It is such a lively and exciting experience. There will also be a full concession running during the event with tons of great food. We are very appreciative of all who support this initiative.”
