CHS Music Department Sets Up Online Campaign For Spring Trip

The Chatham High School Music department has enjoyed a long tradition of performances throughout the community. From High Point Stadium to Carnegie Hall, they’ve brought home the accolades and are a great source of pride to the Chathams.

After practicing hard and performing for many, they are going to Disney World. On May 18, the CHS Bands, Choruses, and Orchestras will begin a four-day adventure as they travel to Orlando, Fla. for performances and workshops with Disney cast members and musicians. Each attending student will have the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to perform and experience Disney and Universal Studios with their peers.

The all-inclusive trip comes with a price tag of $1,300 per student. Every year, students participate in a variety of fundraising activities which help offset their travel expenses. As this trip comes with a higher price tag than previous years, the CHS music staff is jumping on board to sponsor several additional fundraising events intended to benefit the entire population of attending students.

The music department has set up a GoFundMe campaign as another way to help raise some money to defray the cost of the trip. All funds raised during this campaign will be distributed evenly amongst the participating students.
