Community Shows Generosity In Food Drive

On Nov. 21, the Mountain Top League held its fourth Annual Food Drive to benefit the Holy Trinity Food Pantry and once again the community of West Orange came through in a big way.

Many thanks goes out to everyone who helped make this happen and to the community for their generosity! In just more than two hours the community donated more than 50 grocery bags filled with 49 turkeys, 10 chickens and meatless lasagnas, 150 frozen burgers, 32 packets of frozen hot dogs and more than 125 various canned goods. Additionally, the MTL Hockey program will donate 210 pairs of socks that were collected at the charity hockey game that took pace earlier in the year.

“This is an amazing community and I couldn’t be more happy to be part of it,” said MTL Hockey Trustee and parent Alexandra DeRonde. “The MTL House was the place to be tonight. We had people coming and going literally all night dropping off their donations, hanging out, and meeting new friends and neighbors. It was a great night.”

The MTL Executive Board and MTL Hockey Trustees send their thanks and gratitude to everyone in the community for their support and donations.
