The Denville Historical Society (DHS) will re-open its museum doors for the 2020 season on Saturday, March 21st at 10:00 a.m.
The museum, located at 113 Diamond Spring Rd, Denville, shares the parking lot with the Denville Public Library. This year the society is very excited to celebrate its legacy by continuing their mission of preserving, dispersing, and educating on the town’s history. Subsequently, the museum has recently expanded their presence on social media through the creation of an Instagram account @denvillemuseum and a website, www.denvillemuseum.org.
Those visiting the Museum on Saturday, March 21st will also be able to meet and greet the author of the latest book on the town’s history, aptly titled Denville Goes to War: Denville’s Story of World War I, which will be available for sale. Board member and author Peter Zablocki will sign copies of the book. All proceeds will go towards the Society’s most recent endeavor of restoring the 1908 Union School House located on Openaki Road. Admission is always free.
