The Rutherfurd Hall Foundation presents Women on the Watch, a series of WOW talks at Rutherfurd Hall Allamuchy. Influential women from the greater community share their experiences—complete with successes and failures—and the decisions they have made as they impart their life lessons in the stories they tell.
On Oct. 19, Dr. Barbara-Jayne Lewthwaite will present “Reinventing Yourself—It’s a Lifelong Process.
Since concluding her eight-year tenure as Centenary University president, Dr. Lewthwaite has embarked on an adventure of reinventing herself, and she will share her credo on making that work.
Dr. Lewthwaite believes reinvention to be a life-long process that knows no age confines. In fact, she admits to reinventing herself numerous times, beginning as a military baby moving from Germany to the United States, through her corporate career, to education, to administration, and now on to the next dimension of reinvention.
Dr. Lewthwaite’s presentation concludes the 2017 series which also featured Lisa Baldwin, who sang her story, and Leighanne Eide, who detailed life at Mars. WOW began in 2016 and featured Deirdre Bryant-Worth’s career chronicles and how the Honorable Maria DiGiovanni came to wear her mayoral high heels on Hackettstown’s Main Street.
The event will begin at 5:30 p.m. and include a cocktail/networking hour and dessert.
Tickets are $25 and available for purchase online at www.rutherfurdhall.org.
