The Ferro Monte Chapter, NSDAR is seeking sponsorships for wreaths to cover the 560 veteran graves at the combined Cemeteries of the First Presbyterian Church and the United Methodist Church on Main Street in Succasunna. The wreaths will be placed on the veteran graves on National Wreaths Across America Day, Sat., Dec. 17, at 11 a.m. and a Remembrance Ceremony at noon in the Presbyterian Church.

To meet this goal, sponsorships are being sought from local businesses, groups and individuals; each wreath costs $15. By giving to this annual event, support the Wreaths Across America with the mission to Remember, Honor our Veterans and to Teach future Veterans that “We Do Not Forget, We Will Never Forget.”

With Veterans Day in the fall and Memorial Day in the spring, servicemen and women sacrifice their time and safety every single day of the year, to preserve freedoms. In many homes, there is an empty seat for one who is serving, or one who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. There is no better time to express appreciation than during the hustle and bustle of the holiday season.
