The Borough of Woodland Park recently hosted its annual fishing derby at Henderson Pond at Zaccaria Park. This year for the first time, the event was open to residents of Woodland Park, Little Falls and Totowa – with over 60 families taking part. 

​Antonio “Go Go” Gomez and his team from the Great Falls and Bergen Bassmasters were on hand to measure the fish caught and help the children out. State Farm also donated kid-sized stocked tackle boxes to all contestants. Following the serving of refreshments to all in attendance, prizes were awarded and raffles for fishing rods and large tackle boxes were called.
