Flower Show, Coffee With A Cop Featured At Washington Twp. Library

Visitors to the Washington Township Public Library can enjoy a flower show, an Indie Author Day or just enjoy coffee with a police officer this fall in the library.
The Garden Club of Long Valley will hold its flower show Sept. 22 and Sept. 23.
Designs will be on display from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Various categories will be included, from recycled, reusable materials to “bee conscious” friendly.
Oct. 4 is National Coffee with a Cop Day. Several police officers from the Washington Township Police Department will be stationed around town, including the library, Dunkin’ Donuts and The Coffee Potter, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., to answer residents’ questions.
Local writers are invited to the library’s second annual Indie Author Day on Oct. 14. The event is designed to bring local writing communities together in libraries across the country to participate in author panels, book signings and more. Authors interested should call the library at 908-876-3596, or email william.haggis@wtpl.org.
