Thanks to the Greater Lafayette Classic or GLC, a registered New Jersey Nonprofit Corporation, Santa came early this year to a number of area service organizations and charities. The GLC, through its annual golf tournament and the generosity of its sponsors and players, has been supporting local organizations for more than 13 years.

This year’s donations recipients included the Morristown Community Soup Kitchen and Outreach Center, in the name of Marla Drury, the Chatham Emergency Squad, the Chatham Volunteer Fire Department and the Washington Avenue School PTO (Chatham). Also receiving a donation this year were The John Taylor Babbitt Foundation, dedicated to increasing awareness and preventing death by sudden cardiac arrest and The Senior Services Center of the Chathams.

In the past, the GLC has supported education through scholarships and donations, senior services, high school athletics and music programs, the Chatham 9/11 Memorial, local service organizations and more.
