Jefferson Elementary School adopts an attitude of gratitude.
This past Thanksgiving, Patti Klein, preschool teacher decided it was perfect time to help students grow an attitude of gratitude in the elementary school.
“Research shows gratitude is good for both teachers and students,” explained Klein. “An attitude of gratitude helps students feel better about their school and help teachers feel appreciated.”
Students at the school completed an activity the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. They were encouraged to use a sticky note to take a moment to thank a member of the school community.
“As you can tell this was a very popular activity. Hundreds of notes were posted and Mrs. Cosgrove wrote a personal note to all staff members.”
It seems Jefferson School has discovered a new Thanksgiving tradition!
