On Wednesday, March 11, the Wayne Public Library’s Lunchbox Learning program will feature The Leonieke Jazz Trio. The band will consist of jazz phenome Leonieke (pronounced “Lay-o-nee-ka”) Scheuble on piano, Nick Scheuble on drums and Tim Givens on double bass. The Leonieke Jazz Trio will entertain us with some jazz classics and some pieces from Leonieke’s own albums. Listen closely to the smooth tempo changes, the melodic structure, the musical arrangements and harmonies between these three musicians. There should be some beautiful solos to enjoy. This is a program for true jazz aficionados and everyone else who enjoys fine live music.
Free and open to the public, the program will be held at the Wayne Public Library’s meeting rooms. Doors open at 12:00 p.m. and the audience is invited to bring their own lunches, while coffee, tea and cookies will be provided. The one-hour program begins at 12:30 p.m.
This program is funded in part by the Passaic County Cultural & Heritage Council from funds granted by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts.
