Linda D’Amico’s Academy of Dance Announces 43rd Year in Business

Joyful news! Surviving COVID-19 pandemic, Linda D’Amico‘s Academy of Dance is proud and humbled to announce its 43rd  year of sharing the love of dance and arts at 574 Newark Pompton Turnpike, Pompton Plains. Our normal will be a new normal but we will adjust accordingly, from social distancing, to temperature check, to sanitizing, to masks when not dancing!!!   From adorable petite PK/Kinder dance division, to our beautiful energetic recreational Terpsichorean division, to our fierce competition team now under the name of The Dance Project directed by the creative skills of Janine Dayson and Meagan Salma,  we are astounded and so incredibly proud of the progress our dancers have made over the years. The recreational dancers will be under the assistance of Joy Giuffre and all under the umbrella of Linda D‘Amico (Mrs. D). Our incredible staff also includes, Cathy Giuffre (office manager), Taylor Redmond, Megan Gwozdz, Hannah Castoro, Adam Houston, Dr. Staci Shivers, Sidney DeStefano, Summer Sheldrick, and Gina Giuffre. Gratitude to all of them for the giving of their special talents and creativity to our students. We thank our staff, for bringing out the inner strength, passion and talent of our dancers, whether in our facility, virtually or on the lawn as the pandemic has dictated.

Linda Rose D’Amico, the talented and accomplished artistic director of LDAD for the past 7 years has stepped down to pursue her gifted talents in other directions. We extend our deepest gratitude to Linda Rose for sharing her amazing talents and expertise with us, taking LDAD to another level of excellence.

Mrs. D believes, the dedication to their craft and passion of our students, shows through their class participation and performances when allowed. We take absolute pride when we say that this is more than just a place to dance.  LDAD is a place where lifetime friendships are formed, where confidence is built, and where coordination, grace, and agility are nurtured to create headstrong, charismatic young adults equipped with life lessons needed to take on life’s journeys and challenges no matter where it takes them.

Remember always, “If you can dream it, you can achieve it.”  Allow Linda D’Amico’s Academy of Dance to help you achieve that dream through the love of dance.
