Library Invites Public To Meet Author

The Livingston Public Library invites the public to a Meet the Author Event with Jeff Burger on Thur., June 8, at 7:30 p.m., when he presents “Lennon, Springsteen and Cohen.”
Burger’s books include “Lennon on Lennon: Conversations with John Lennon;” “ Leonard Cohen on Leonard Cohen: Interviews and Encounters;” and “Springsteen on Springsteen: Interviews, Speeches, and Encounters,” all of which are published in North America by “Chicago Review Press.”
Burger has been a writer and editor for more than four decades and has covered popular music throughout his journalism career. His reviews, essays, and reportage on that and many other subjects have appeared in more than 75 magazines, newspapers, and books, including “Barron’s;” “The Los Angeles Times;” “Family Circle;” “Melody Maker;” “High Fidelity;” “All Music Guide;” and more.
He has published interviews with many leading figures from the music world, including Bruce Springsteen, Wolfman Jack, Tom Waits, Foreigner’s Mick Jones, Billy Joel, Tommy James, the Righteous Brothers, Deep Purple’s Tommy Bolin, and members of Steely Dan and the Marshall Tucker Band.
Burger has been editor of several periodicals, including Phoenix magazine in Arizona, and he spent 14 years in senior positions at “Medical Economics” magazine, the country’s largest business magazine for doctors. A former consulting editor at “Time Inc.”, he now serves as editor of “Business Jet Traveler” which has won 48 major editorial awards since he joined the publication in 2004.
Burger lives in Ridgewood. His wife, Madeleine Beresford, is a preschool director and teacher and a puppeteer. The couple has a son, Andre and a daughter, Myriam.
