The Morris County Library, located in Hanover Township, has special summer offerings for teens from across the county who may want a break from the sun and heat, and want to try their hands at crafts and writing, and enjoying books and movies.

A Teen Movie Night will feature “The Lego Batman Movie,’’ on July 20 at 6 p.m. The event will feature a movie, craft and legos.
A Writing Workshop will teach teens to build a better story on July 25 from 3 p.m. to 4 :15 p.m. The workshop will feature poet and writing instructor Tamara Hart, who will explore ways to improve storytelling abilities and hone the skills needed to build a better story.
A Teen Craftstravaganza will take place on Aug. 2 from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Participants will choose from a variety of fun crafts to make. They will create their own fantasy map, bookmarks and more.
A Cardboard Challenge and Wrap-Up Pizza Party will be held on Aug. 8, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Teens will get creative building with cardboard at a Cardboard Creation Station, and will build their own structures, games, creatures or costumes.
Stay afterwards for a pizza party, book giveaways and raffle prize drawings for teen summer reading participants.
