The Music at Messiah series plans to present “Once Upon A Tree” on Sun., April 9 at 4 p.m. Through the eyes of St. Luke the physician, composer Pepper Choplin recreates the power, majesty, love, sorrow and hope of Jesus Christ’s last week on earth, from the triumphal entry into Jerusalem to the Last Supper and the final hours on the cross. The choir, under the direction of Music Director Cindy Campbell, is comprised of members of the Church of the Messiah, as well as members of the surrounding community. Admission is free. Donations are welcomed to support the program.
The Music at Messiah series presents concerts throughout the year to provide an opportunity to share and encourage the enjoyment of music within the surrounding community.
The Church of the Messiah is located in Chester, New Jersey. There is free on-site parking and the facility is handicapped accessible.
