Obituary: Deborah L. Krake

Deborah L. Krake 65, of Byram passed away at home, on August 28th, 2021, in the loving care of her family. 

 

Born in Newark, Deborah was the daughter of the late Hannah Rosenthal Maxwell and William Maxwell.  She grew up in Irvington,  where she lived through her teen years.  She met her husband Wallace Krake a young teen from a neighboring high school.  The two dated for five years before marrying in 1976. The couple settled in Byram to raise their children,  and recently moved to Lincoln Park.  Deborah worked for 23 years as a train conductor for NJ Transit, where she made many lasting friendships.  She loved shopping and traveling and yearly trips to Aruba with Wallace.  

 

Deborah is survived by her husband of 45 years Wallace; her son Wallace and his fiance Cindy Gaffney; her daughters Brianne Bilello and her husband Vincent; Alyssa Wright and her husband Adam; her grandchildren Wallace, Giavonna, Natalee, Gabriella, Addison,  Gabrielle, Declan, Maddox, and Jaxson,  her brothers Steve Groom and his wife Jacqueline Stearns, and William Maxwell, her mother-in-law Rose Krake, her sister-in-law Michelle Krake,  and her nieces and nephew. 

 

She was predeceased by her parents,  her brother Francis Groom, and her brother-in-law Anthony Krake.
