When times are tough and people are most in need – Project Help is there.
Even now, with COVID -19 raging the military aid group’s celebrated Mobile Closet – currently with “Food Pantry” added to the name – is being deployed to distribute groceries, toiletries and clothing to veterans and their families.
In response to the pandemic and the financial burden it’s placed on so many service men and women the Project Help – Mobile Closet and Food Pantry in conjunction with the Newton Food Pantry, the American Legions, VFW and Elks will be making stops at various sites in Sussex County in September.
There are no strings attached, just come and get whatever you need. Please remember to bring your ID. Family members are also welcome without an ID. Please share this information with veterans in your area so they can come and be served.
The mission of Project Help is to provide all Veterans and their families the necessary logistics support and financial resources to be professionally and personally successful, and to help those who served make successful transitions from military to civilian careers. We do this through partnerships with corporations, government organizations and other non-profits.
In 2019 after a two-year labor of love Project Help put its mobile closet, a converted school bus, on the road. Filled with clothing and other essentials the bus brings much needed supplies to veterans across northern New Jersey.
