Since 1986, FOWA Rescue has been helping animals find safety, care, and loving forever homes—rescuing over 20,000 animals. For four decades, countless dogs and cats have come through our doors frightened, abandoned, injured, or simply without a place to call home.
Thanks to the compassion of our volunteers, supporters, and adopters, these animals have found something every animal deserves—safety, kindness, and hope.
Our journey began with a simple belief: every animal matters. Over the years, that belief has remained at the heart of everything we do. While the challenges facing homeless and neglected animals have changed, our commitment to helping them has never wavered.
Each rescue has its own story. Some animals arrive after being abandoned. Others are surrendered because their families can no longer care for them. Some need medical attention, rehabilitation, or extra patience before they are ready for adoption. Whatever their circumstances, we work to provide the care and love they need to begin again.
But animal rescue is about more than providing shelter. It is about creating a pathway to a better future. Our organization works every day to provide nutritious food, veterinary care, comfort, socialization, and the opportunity for animals to heal both physically and emotionally.
Most importantly, we work to match each animal with a loving home where they can become a cherished member of the family.
After more than 40 years, we know that rescue is a community effort. We could not continue our mission without the people who believe in it. Volunteers give their time and energy. Foster families open their homes. Veterinarians provide essential care. Adopters give animals
permanent families. Donors and supporters make it possible for us to continue saying “yes” when an animal needs help.
Every adoption represents a new beginning. Every successful rescue is a life saved. Every wagging tail, gentle purr, and happy reunion reminds us why we do what we do.
As we look toward the future, our commitment remains stronger than ever. We will continue working to rescue animals, find them loving homes, educate our community, and advocate for the humane treatment of animals.
More than 40 years of rescue is more than a milestone—it is a legacy built on compassion. It represents thousands of lives touched, countless animals given another chance, and generations of people who have come together to make a difference.
The need for animal rescue continues, and so does our promise: we will be here for the animals who need us.
With the continued support of our community, there are many more lives to save, many more happy endings to create, and many more years of compassion ahead. Follow us on Facebook at
