Public Invited To Special Program About Mood And Personality Disorders

On Wed., Feb. 22 at 7:45 p.m. the Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance is set to feature at its monthly meeting Jeff Brandler, EdS, CAS, SAP, who is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Certified Addictions Specialist, with a private practice in Mountain Lakes.

Brandler has over 32 years experience dealing with adults, couples and families. Many of the people he treats have anxiety, unipolar and bipolar depression, and alcohol and drug addiction issues. He is a chapter advisor and has spoken to the group many times. His affable personality gets the audience involved in a meaningful discussion.

His talk is titled “Personality Disorder: Do I have one? Did I grow up in a family with someone who has it? How would this impact my mood disorder (and other scary thoughts)?”

Brandler will take questions from the audience as well on all subjects.

These educational meetings of the organization take place on the last Wed. every month at 7:45 p.m. using the facilities of the Morristown Unitarian Fellowship.

The public is cordially invited to attend all meetings; a nominal donation is requested from non-members, when possible. Free literature is available to all attendees and there is an extensive lending library of educational audiotapes, CD’s and videotapes, also free.

In addition to the lecture series, peer group support sessions led by experienced facilitators are held every Tues. evening of the month at 7:30 p.m. Separate groups for family and friends and young adult groups are held periodically.
