Randolph Menorah Lighting One Of 10,000 Worldwide Symbolizing Religious Freedom

Chabad of Randolph will ignite a public menorah erected at the Randolph Community Center, followed by a community-wide celebration on the third night of Hanukka, which falls out on Thursday, Dec. 14. Following the menorah lighting ceremony, there will be dancing, entertainment and delicous holiday food.
The event will take place from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Randolph Community Center.

Hanukka, the Festival of Lights, recalls the victory more than 2,100 years ago of a militarily weak but spiritually strong Jewish people who defeated a ruthless enemy that had overrun ancient Israel and sought to impose restrictions on the Jewish way of life, prohibit religious freedom and force the Jewish people to accept a foreign religion.
