The American Cancer Society’s popular Relay For Life fundraising event is expanding to Florham Park and the Hanovers. Relay for Life of Florham Park will host its first official Kickoff Celebration set for March 14 at 7:30 p.m. at Hanover Park High School.

Guests are invited to come find out what Relay for Life is all about and learn how they can get involved. Individuals and teams will also be able to register for the Relay for Life event on May 20.

Though this is the first Relay for Life for Florham Park and the Hanovers, Relay for Life takes place internationally and is one of the world’s largest fundraising events supporting cancer research, prevention and patient programs. Participants take turns walking around a track in a relay-style event.

The multi-hour event symbolizes the around-the-clock fight to battle cancer. Special ceremonies throughout the day and night honor patients, caregivers and their families.
