The Roxbury High School Spanish Club is hosting a sporting-goods drive on Sat., Dec. 10, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the high school cafeteria.
This drive benefits The Nicaragua Project, a non-profit organization that aims to promote fitness and sportsmanship amongst young children in Nicaragua.
“If you’re looking to donate any gently used sports equipment and/or athletic wear, please come by on Sat., Dec. 10, to drop them off! We hope to see you there” says Samantha Gorman, club advisor.
There is a high need for soccer balls, baseballs, baseball mitts, and gently used athletic jerseys and shoes, but other equipment will also be accepted.
