Roxbury High School students recently participated in a new yoga program, Plyoga, during their physical education classes.
Plyoga creator Stephanie Lauren and Chief U.S. Mast Trainer Christine Conti put students through workouts that use the benefits of fundamental and accelerated yoga as an active recovery for plyometric movement.
The Plyoga workout is a cutting-edge exercise science incorporating an even mix of agility, endurance, balance, flexibility and power. Students were taught empowerment and applied goal setting through physical achievement.
