Rutherfurd Hall Prepares For Holiday Fun

Historic Rutherfurd Hall in Hackettstown is a stunning setting for the holidays, and this December will be amazing with a variety of events and programs, from comedy, high tea, to paint and floral design classes, to keep participants entertained and inspired with creativity through the season. Relax and discover with the meditation class and free lecture.

Rutherfurd Hall is pleased to present, for the second time, First Night Warren. It will be held on the grounds of Rutherfurd Hall Mansion on Dec. 31.  This will be a family friendly celebration of the arts which will culminate with an awesome fireworks show.  This is the only event of this type in Warren County.  Entertainment will include performance artists, musicians, contortionists, magicians, dancers of all types, children’s shows as well as many other arts and activities. Food vendors will also be on site. Prepay $10 per button for admittance. Shuttle buses will bring guests from remote locations; pre-purchase premier parking onsite for $25 per car      

On Dec. 3, from noon to 2 p.m., “Celebration of the Holiday 2016” Event with Santa, Music, Crafts and Family Fun! Perfect opportunity for a family photo.

Dec. 3, at 8 p.m., Ha Ha Holiday Comedy Show. NY/NJ Comedians perform live Stand Up Comedy. Doors open at 7 pm for cash bar. $25 per person.

Dec. 4, at 1 p.m., Downton Abby Holiday Tea. Enjoy an authentic High Tea! $45 per person.

Dec. 7, at 10:30 a.m. to noon, Mommy and Me Art Class. Create a holiday craft with a child. Ages two to five; $12 per child.

Dec. 7, 6:30 p.m.-8 p.m., Holiday Kids Painting Party. Drop children ages eight and up or accompany a child seven and under. Each child will go home with their own canvas with a unique painted holiday scene; $20 per child.

Dec. 8, 7 p.m.-9 p.m., Adult Paint Night. Adults can bring their own wine and we will provide the paint, instruction and canvas. Each participant will paint a beautiful holiday scene; $25 per person.

Dec. 11, 3 p.m., Centenary University Lecture Series with speaker Dr. Octavia Brown, professor of Equine Studies. Free event.

Dec. 14, 6:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m., Mindfulness Breathing Meditation with Jean Marie, Fostering the Journey; $15 per person.

Dec. 20, 7 p.m., Holiday Table Floral Arrangement with instructor Patricia Bowman; $60 per person.
