Stories Of The Belgian Resistance at Temple Beth Tikvah

Marian Kleinman, Temple Beth Tikvah executive director and religious school administrator, will share stories from her memoir about her mother’s work in the Belgian Resistance on Tuesday, May 15, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
As a first generation daughter of a holocaust survivor, Kleinman has written a memoir about her mother, Freide Gorewitz. Gorewitz was a hidden child and member of the Belgian Resistance in Antwerp, and she actively helped other Jews hiding from the Nazis during the war years. Gorewitz’ story is inspiring and reminds us of the choices we have in life, including to stand up for our rights. Hear her story and sing a few songs written about the Holocaust.
