On Thurs., Jan. 5, 2017, at 10 a.m., the Thursday Morning Club is set to welcome Susan Chambers, Chair of the New Jersey Federation of Women’s Clubs Special State Project “Ending Child Abuse,” and Pamela Stalcup, Director of Development and Communications for PCA – New Jersey, who will discuss the club’s 2016-2017 participation in a two year statewide effort, in conjunction with New Jersey Prevent Child Abuse, to raise public awareness of this abuse and support fundraising activities that will aid highly vulnerable New Jersey families.
The New Jersey Prevent Child Abuse Project (PCA-NJ) is a dynamic, multi-dimensional initiative promoting positive parenting and healthy childhood development. PCA-NJ serves tens of thousands of children and families throughout New Jersey.
Each Thursday Morning Club member is being asked to bring a baby item such as a piece of clothing or package of diapers to the meeting to kick off the club’s own PCA initiative.
The public is cordially invited to attend this very informative meeting and enjoy a post-meeting luncheon served by the club’s very own Catering Committee. The $15 luncheon fee will be collected the day of the meeting, but a reservation is required prior to Dec. 30, 2016. To make your reservation, please call 973-520-8087 or email sharons043@gmail.com.
