Verona is set to celebrate the twentieth annual Fair in the Square.

Investors Bank and DeCozen Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram have joined Verona’s Mayor and Council to present the Fair in the Square set for Sat., Dec. 3 from 12 noon to 5 p.m., rain date set for Dec. 4 at Verona Civic Center Square.

Verona continues to be privileged with support from its community business owners and social service organizations who continue to assist in the success of the Fair in the Square. Hillcrest Farms, Eight Hills Caterers, Verona-Cedar Grove Times and Verona UNICO, all long standing sponsors, will return to celebrate Verona’s community spirit in the company of many social service organizations with welcoming displays and fun family activities. Minette’s Angels Foundation, Verona High School Paws and Claws, Verona Park Conservancy, Sustainable Verona as well as many others are registered to bring their special projects, sales and activities to share with the community.

The Fair goers will again be delighted with the Horse Drawn Wagon Ride co-sponsored by Eight Hills Caterers and Petting Zoo co-sponsored by Hillcrest Farms. Riders can board the wagon behind Town Hall and be treated to a free ride along Gould Street starting at 1p.m. to 4 p.m. There will be limited vehicular access to Gould Street during the festivities.

Fair attendees will be amused and entertained by scheduled performers, activities, and music. Verona UNICO continues its tradition to entertain the community’s young children with a bouncy house. Purchase your holiday wreath and poinsettia from Cub Scout Pack 5. The Verona Fire Department will delight the families with its special transportation of Santa to the Fair at 4:30 p.m. to assist in the lighting of the holiday tree.

The event coordinators encourage participation from vendors and organizations to perform, create crafts, play games, and sell holiday gift items. Participation and activities are still lining up, and many favorite vendors and organizations are returning with new surprises.
