West Orange Whole Foods Supermarket presented the West Orange Scholarship Fund with a $3,987.18 check on Nov. 1 following the “5 Percent Fundraiser” held at the store on Sept. 21.
The WOSF partnered with Whole Foods on Sept. 21 and five percent of the total sales of the day went to the fund.
WOSF President Rich Rizzolo and Treasurer Jim Quinn received the check from store manager Scott Earl and Executive Coordinator Rich Goss.
“Whole Foods has joined our great group of community scholarship supporters by donating five percent of their net revenues on WOSF Day in September,” said Rizzolo.
“We’re very appreciative of our West Orange neighbor for the services they provide our community and for their support of our graduating seniors,” he said.
The scholarship money will be awarded to students interested in the culinary and environmental fields.
