‘Why Kindness?’ Speaker To Address The Question In Morristown

The Morris Educational Foundation will host the first part of its annual Parent Education Series on Monday, Sept. 25 at 7 p.m. in Morristown High School, Morristown.
This program is intended for parents with children of all ages.
In alliance with the district-wide Healthy Community Initiative, the Home & School Associations and the MEF are partnering to bring Orly Wahba, kindness advocate and founder of Life Vest Inside, to the Morris School District.

During her presentation, Wahba will discuss how being kind, respectful and compassionate can help our children lead happier, healthier and more successful lives. This event is free and open to the public.

What will also be visiting Morristown High School and Frelinghuysen Middle School during the week of Sept. 25 to speak with students. One of the goals of the Morris School District’s Healthy Community Initiative is for every student, in every school, to feel a strong sense of belonging and acceptance.  With What speaking to parents, students and staff, the school community is being unified with the message that being kind to one another is the cornerstone of a healthy community.

“We are pleased to continue our Parent Education Series by bringing another amazing speaker to the greater Morristown community,” said Patricia Haralampoudis, chairperson of the MEF. “This program is a great example of the strong partnership we have between the MEF, the HSAs, the schools and the Morris School District. “
Following a Question & Answer discussion, Whaba will be signing her book, Kindness Boomerang: How to Save the World (and Yourself) Through 365 Daily Acts. The book will be available for purchase at a discounted price of $10 (cash only).
Registration is requested, but not required, by visiting the MEF’s website at www.morrisedfoundation.org.
