The Chester Lioness Club bi-annual fundraising activity, Culinary Adventures 2016, culminated in the drawing of six prizes at pn Dec. 1, at the Lamplighter Restaurant, Chester. Each prize, valued at more than $600, consisted of 15 dining certificates donated by local restaurants. The winners are: Louise O’Neil from Clark, Marjorie Patterson from Flanders, Cherie Szpunar from Chester, Andrew Thoelen from Flanders, Rich Lucy from Toms River and Diane Murray from Long Valley.
More than 90 restaurants donated dining certificates to assist the Chester Lioness Club in continuing its many charitable activities and community services. The club is a non-profit organization that has served Chester and the surrounding area for more than 30years. All funds raised by this raffle will go toward the support of the Chester Lioness Club charitable activities such as annual scholarships to local graduating high school seniors; Operation Chill Out for homeless veterans; Operation Jersey Cares for overseas troops; The Jersey Battered Women’s Shelter; Homeless Solutions, Inc,. Morristown; The Chester and Long Valley Food Pantries; Chester Area Senior Housing and Market Street Mission.
